The Castle in Janowiec – a division of the Vistula Region Museum – is a grand Renaissance‑era defensive residence built in the early 16th century for the powerful Firlej family and later owned by the Tarło and Lubomirski lineages. Perched dramatically on a high escarpment above the Vistula River, it offers striking architecture, multi‑level arcaded galleries, and sweeping views of the valley. The museum has secured and partially reconstructed the ruins, opening the North Wing with exhibitions on the castle’s history, as well as cellars housing a Dutch faience collection. The grounds also include relocated historic buildings—such as the Manor House from Moniaki, a 19th‑century wooden barn, and a riverside granary—forming a small open‑air ensemble that illustrates traditional noble and folk life in the region.

Zamek w Janowcu – oddział Muzeum Nadwiślańskiego – to imponująca renesansowo‑obronna rezydencja wzniesiona na początku XVI wieku dla rodu Firlejów, później należąca także do Tarłów i Lubomirskich. Usytuowany na wysokiej wiślanej skarpie, zamek zachwyca monumentalną bryłą, wielopoziomowymi krużgankami oraz panoramicznym widokiem na dolinę Wisły. Muzeum przeprowadziło zabezpieczenie ruin i częściową odbudowę, udostępniając zwiedzającym m.in. Dom Północny z wystawami o historii zamku oraz piwnice z ekspozycją fajansu holenderskiego. Na terenie kompleksu znajdują się też przeniesione zabytkowe obiekty – Dwór z Moniak, drewniana stodoła z Wyglądałów oraz spichlerz z Podlodowa, tworzące niewielki skansen prezentujący dawne życie ziemiańskie i ludowe regionu.
