The Central Museum of Textiles is housed in the historic White Factory of Ludwik Geyer, one of the most iconic 19th‑century industrial complexes in Łódź and a key landmark of the city’s textile heritage. Its former factory spaces now host exhibitions on the history of textile production, industrial technology, fashion, and contemporary fiber art.
The museum is the organizer of the International Triennial of Tapestry, the world’s largest and oldest event dedicated to contemporary textile art. The institution also includes the Skansen of Wooden Architecture, featuring authentic workers’ houses and craft buildings from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries — a tangible representation of everyday life in industrial Łódź.

Centralne Muzeum Włókiennictwa mieści się w zabytkowej Białej Fabryce Ludwika Geyera, jednym z najstarszych i najważniejszych kompleksów przemysłowych Łodzi, powstałym w I połowie XIX wieku. W dawnych halach fabrycznych prezentowane są wystawy poświęcone historii lokalnego przemysłu włókienniczego, procesom produkcji, modzie oraz współczesnej sztuce tkaniny.
Muzeum jest organizatorem Międzynarodowego Triennale Tkaniny, największej i najstarszej na świecie imprezy poświęconej artystycznej tkaninie współczesnej. Integralną częścią instytucji jest także Skansen Łódzkiej Architektury Drewnianej, prezentujący oryginalne budynki mieszkalne i rzemieślnicze z przełomu XIX i XX wieku — materialne świadectwo życia robotniczej Łodzi tamtych czasów.
