The Museum of Independence in Myślenice is a modern institution that tells the history of Poland and the Myślenice region through the experiences of its local community. Its collections combine ethnographic, archaeological, and geological artifacts with contemporary cultural and educational displays. The museum’s origins date back to 1929, and its current name was adopted in 2017. Since 2021, it has operated in a modern building at 11 Traugutta Street, equipped with digital exhibition technologies. Permanent exhibitions showcase the early history of Myślenice, the residents’ struggle for independence during wartime, and the fight for democracy in the post‑war communist era.

Muzeum Niepodległości w Myślenicach to nowoczesna placówka prezentująca dzieje Polski oraz regionu myślenickiego poprzez doświadczenia jego mieszkańców. Jego zbiory obejmują kolekcje etnograficzne, archeologiczne i geologiczne, a także ekspozycje dotyczące walki o niepodległość i przemian społeczno‑politycznych XX wieku. Muzeum ma korzenie w 1929 roku, kiedy powstało Regionalne Muzeum Ziemi Myślenickiej, a obecną nazwę przyjęło w 2017 roku. Od 2021 roku mieści się w nowoczesnej siedzibie przy ul. Traugutta 11, wyposażonej w multimedialne technologie wystawiennicze. Stałe ekspozycje prezentują m.in. historię miasta, losy mieszkańców podczas wojen oraz działalność antykomunistyczną po 1945 roku.
