The Kashubian Museum in Kartuzy is the leading institution dedicated to the history, culture, and traditions of the Kashubian region. Established in 1947, it is located in a historic building on Kościerska Street and features eight exhibition halls showcasing traditional Kashubian life — including fishing, agriculture, pottery, household crafts, folk art, embroidery, ceramics, and regional costumes. The upper floor includes thematic rooms such as the “Kashubian Chamber” and the “Bride’s Dowry” exhibition. The museum also organizes educational workshops, cultural events, and temporary exhibitions, offering visitors a rich insight into the unique heritage and folklore of the Kashubian people.

Muzeum Kaszubskie w Kartuzach to najważniejsza placówka prezentująca historię, kulturę i tradycje Kaszub. Założone w 1947 roku, mieści się dziś w zabytkowym budynku przy ul. Kościerskiej i obejmuje osiem sal wystawowych, w których prezentowane są eksponaty związane z dawnym życiem mieszkańców regionu — od rybołówstwa, rolnictwa i garncarstwa po sztukę ludową, haft, ceramikę oraz tradycyjne stroje kaszubskie. Na piętrze znajduje się m.in. „Izba kaszubska” i ekspozycja „Posag panny młodej”. Muzeum prowadzi także wydarzenia edukacyjne, warsztaty oraz wystawy czasowe, podkreślając bogactwo kultury kaszubskiej i jej niepowtarzalny folklor.
