The Mazury Museum in Szczytno, located in the town hall next to the remnants of the medieval Teutonic castle, presents the history and material culture of the Mazurian region. Established in 1945 and based on the surviving collections of the former German Heimatmuseum, it houses archaeological, ethnographic, historical, and numismatic artifacts reflecting the area’s multicultural past. Permanent exhibitions cover the history of Szczytno “from prehistory to modern times” and showcase traditional Mazurian folk culture, including weaving, craftsmanship, and the region’s distinctive folk‑painted stove tiles.

Muzeum Mazurskie w Szczytnie, mieszczące się w ratuszu miejskim tuż obok ruin krzyżackiego zamku, prezentuje historię oraz kulturę materialną Mazurów. Założone w 1945 roku na bazie zbiorów dawnego niemieckiego Heimatmuseum, gromadzi zabytki archeologiczne, etnograficzne, artystyczno‑historyczne i numizmatyczne, dokumentujące wielokulturowe dziedzictwo regionu. Stałe wystawy ukazują dzieje Szczytna „od pradziejów do współczesności” oraz tradycyjną kulturę ludową Mazurów, w tym tkactwo, rzemiosło i charakterystyczne ludowe kafle mazurskie.
