The Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn is the region’s largest cultural institution, located in the 14th‑century Warmian Chapter Castle, one of Olsztyn’s most important historical monuments. Its collections cover archaeology, history, numismatics, old and modern art, craftsmanship, and folk culture, illustrating the rich heritage of Warmia and Masuria.
A highlight of the museum is its connection to Nicolaus Copernicus, who lived and worked in the castle between 1516 and 1521. The museum preserves his original astronomical observational table from 1517—an unparalleled scientific artifact. The institution also hosts rotating temporary exhibitions, cultural events, and educational programmes.

Muzeum prezentuje bogate dziedzictwo Warmii i Mazur – od archeologii, historii i numizmatyki po sztukę dawną i współczesną, rzemiosło artystyczne i kulturę ludową.
Wyjątkową wartością zbiorów są pamiątki związane z Mikołajem Kopernikiem, który mieszkał i pracował na zamku w latach 1516–1521. Do dziś zachowała się jego oryginalna, własnoręcznie wykonana tablica astronomiczna z 1517 roku – unikat na skalę światową. Muzeum organizuje także liczne wystawy czasowe, wydarzenia kulturalne i programy edukacyjne.
