Founded in 1984, the Prix du Jeune Écrivain (PJE) is an organization dedicated to fostering the emergence and promotion of young French-language literature, both in France and internationally. Its activities are structured around three main areas: discovering young literary talent through the Prix des Jeunes Écrivain·e·s competition and providing professional support to its winners; organizing literary events such as the PJE Literary Week; and offering programs and spaces for literary creation, including writer residencies in France and abroad, as well as writing workshops in the Occitanie region. The PJE also serves as the French committee for the Prix des cinq continents, the most prestigious literary award in the Francophone world, supported by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

Créé en 1984, le Prix du Jeune Écrivain (PJE), est une association qui œuvre pour l’émergence et la promotion de la jeune littérature d’expression française, en France et à l’international. Ses activités se déploient sur trois axes majeurs : la révélation de jeunes talents littéraires via le concours du Prix des jeunes écrivain·e·s et l’accompagnement professionnel de ses lauréats, l’événementiel littéraire via la Semaine littéraire du PJE, ainsi que des dispositifs et espaces de création littéraire : résidence d’auteurs en France et à l’international, ateliers d’écriture en Occitanie. Le PJE est par ailleurs comité français du Prix des cinq continents, le prix littéraire le plus important de l’espace francophone et porté par l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.
