The National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk is Poland’s leading institution dedicated to maritime heritage. Founded in 1962, it spans several historic locations, including its main seat in the Granaries on Ołowianka Island, the medieval Gdańsk Crane, the Maritime Culture Centre, and two museum ships – the SS Sołdek and the famous sailing vessel Dar Pomorza. Additional branches operate in Hel, Tczew and Kąty Rybackie.
The museum holds a collection of over 28,000 artefacts, featuring ship equipment, navigation instruments, ship models, underwater archaeology finds, and unique exhibits illustrating Poland’s maritime history and seafaring culture. It also conducts extensive research and educational activities related to marine heritage.

Narodowe Muzeum Morskie w Gdańsku to najważniejsza w Polsce instytucja dokumentująca historię żeglugi, handlu morskiego, rybołówstwa i kultury ludzi morza. Założone w 1962 roku, dziś obejmuje kilka wyjątkowych lokalizacji, m.in. Spichlerze na Ołowiance (siedziba główna), zabytkowy Żuraw nad Motławą, Ośrodek Kultury Morskiej, a także muzealne statki – Sołdek i Dar Pomorza. W skład muzeum wchodzą również oddziały w Helu, Tczewie i Kątach Rybackich.
Zbiory liczą ponad 28 tysięcy obiektów, obejmujących m.in. wyposażenie statków, modele okrętów, zabytki archeologii morskiej oraz unikatowe pamiątki związane z polską żeglugą i kulturą marynistyczną. Muzeum prowadzi także badania podwodne i działa jako centrum edukacji o polskim dziedzictwie morskim.
