The Museum at the Castle in Gniew, a branch of the Archaeological Museum in Gdańsk, is located inside one of the best‑preserved Gothic fortresses in Pomerania. Its main attraction is the modern permanent exhibition “Gniew. A City on the Trail of Great History”, which uses archaeological artefacts, multimedia and reconstructions to illustrate the town’s development, everyday life through the centuries and the strategic importance of Gniew in regional trade and warfare.
The guided tour route includes the castle chapel, defensive cloisters, the armoury and historical halls. Visits begin at the Gate House, which also hosts temporary exhibitions. The museum offers an engaging insight into the multilayered history of the castle — from its Teutonic origins to its later role as a Polish starosty.

Muzeum na Zamku w Gniewie, będące oddziałem Muzeum Archeologicznego w Gdańsku, mieści się w jednej z najlepiej zachowanych gotyckich twierdz na Pomorzu. Jego centralnym punktem jest nowoczesna wystawa stała „Gniew. Miasto na szlaku wielkiej historii”, prezentowana w przestrzeniach zamkowych. Ekspozycja wykorzystuje zabytki archeologiczne, multimedia i rekonstrukcje, by pokazać rozwój miasta, życie codzienne dawnych mieszkańców oraz znaczenie Gniewu na szlakach handlowych i militarnych regionu.
Zwiedzanie obejmuje m.in. kaplicę, krużganki, zbrojownię i sale historyczne, a rozpoczyna się w Domu Bramnym, gdzie znajdują się bilety i wystawy czasowe. Całość tworzy atrakcyjną podróż przez historię zamku — od czasów krzyżackich po okres starostwa polskiego.
